Staying put arrangements

Under what is called a ‘Staying Put’ arrangement, we can support you to stay with your foster carer/s up until the age of 21, if this is agreed between yourself, your carers, your social worker and PA.

If you are ‘Staying Put’ with your former carers it will be different from foster care. You will be an adult living in the household and you will be expected to make a financial contribution towards your board. While you are there you will be supported to further develop your independence skills so that you feel well prepared to move on to your own home, shared accommodation or university when the time is right.
