Ensure our services are trusted, fair and responsive and make the best use of modern technology by:

  • Keeping residents informed about local services in ways which suit them and responding quickly and effectively when residents contact us.
  • Providing waste and recycling services that are reliable, comprehensive, easy to use and maximise recycling rates.
  • Using modern technology and simplifying processes so that council services are faster, easier and more convenient to use.

Delivering high rates of productivity and value for money, and spend taxpayers’ money wisely by:

  • Attracting and developing talented staff, focusing on improving productivity across the council by simplifying processes, and encouraging creativity in empowered teams.
  • Managing public money soundly, planning and delivering a balanced budget, and collecting council tax, business rates and debts in an effective and supportive way.
  • Managing council owned buildings and properties in a more joined up way, including with our partners, to make better use of our spaces, save money and ensure these assets work well for the people that use them.
