Remote gambling licences and electronic submissions

We are not involved in licensing remote gambling.

This is the responsibility of the Gambling Commission through operating licences.

Remote gambling means gambling where participation is by the use of:

  • the internet
  • telephone
  • television
  • radio
  • any other technology for facilitating communication

Electronic submissions

We welcome the use of electronic communication, such as email, which is considered to be an efficient and cost-effective means of communication.

We also welcome applications, notices and representations submitted via email, or by other electronic means available, to the Licensing Service. Further information and application forms are available on our application pages.
