Make sure your email is genuine

Some emails being received by residents about late payments are not from the council. If you're unsure, you can check your online account, pay online or contact us. Learn more about these types of emails at National Cyber security.

Council Tax: Moving in or out

You'll need to complete a form on our Council Tax portal to tell us you're moving.

Let us know you're moving in or out

Select the option that applies to you:

If you receive Council Tax Reduction or housing benefit

If you receive Council Tax Reduction or housing benefit, you will need to let the benefits team know that you've moved separately.

Setting up paperless billing (e-billing)

If you opt for paperless billing (e-billing) on the portal, you will receive an email from [email protected].

This email will tell you how to set up an online Council Tax account.

Receiving e-bills

You will receive an email whenever a new bill is issued to you.

You should mark these emails as 'from a safe sender' so they do not go to your junk or spam folder.

You will not receive a paper bill if you opt for this billing method.
