Contact births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships

The registration service has the following customer service standards:

• if you visit our office with an appointment, you will be seen within 10 minutes of your appointment time or arrival time, if later
• 95% of telephone calls will be answered within 5 rings
• all letters and office e-mails, apart from those requesting copies of certificates, will be acknowledged within 1 working day of receipt
• copies of certificates will be issued within 15 working days from the date they are requested
• we will arrive at the venue for your civil ceremony at least 30 minutes before the start time
