Smaller bins
Smaller bins are available to all households.
Larger bins
You can apply for a larger general waste bin if any of the following apply:
- there are 5 or more permanent residents
- there are at least 2 children in nappies
- someone in the household has a medical condition that produces extra waste
We no longer provide 360L larger bins. 240L bins are now the largest size.
Larger bins for medical reasons
You can get a larger bin for free if you need one for medical reasons.
To apply, ask your GP or community nurse to complete the larger bin for medical reasons form PDF, 150 KB.

What happens next
If your request is approved we'll deliver your new bin within 10 working days.
We'll collect your old bin at the same time. Make sure you leave your old bin at the boundary of your property.
If your old bin wasn't collected, request a bin removal.
