Apply to change school during the academic year (in-year transfer)
Check for vacancies
Before making an application, you should check if a school has a vacancy.
If a school has a vacancy, it does not mean that we'll be able to offer your child a place there. This could be because:
- the place is filled by the time we process your application
- other children may have a higher priority
- we may already be working to fill places from the continuing interest list
Schools with no vacancies
You may still apply for a school which doesn’t have any vacancies.
If we're unable to offer your child a place, we'll add them to the continuing interest list for the rest of the school year.
