Apply to change school during the academic year (in-year transfer)

If you wish your child to move school to start in September 2024 you can make an application from 7 May 2024.

When we receive your application, including evidence, will affect when we send an outcome.

You will need to provide evidence of your move, before we can consider your application. The evidence must show the date of your move to Buckinghamshire.

We will not use your new address until the date you become a Buckinghamshire resident, this may mean in some cases that we are unable to offer a school place until you have provided us with further evidence that have moved.

Applications received after 3 June are processed after 21 July. We often can't make offers over the summer holidays as schools are closed. It is very unlikely that your child will be able to start their new school at the beginning of the autumn term.
