Walking, cycling and wheeling routes in development
View the projects for future walking, cycling and wheeling routes we're developing.
Aylesbury
We're building and improving paths in Bedgrove Park, Aylesbury to create an active travel network for the area.
Buckingham
We've completed the A413 Sustainable Travel Scheme between Buckingham, Winslow and the future station at Winslow. We've identified a future path and active travel network in the Buckingham Transport Strategy.
Railway Walk
We've secured funding for improvements to the Railway Walk (the former railway line between the A421 and the Tingewick Road').
Denham
We've completed a feasibility study to identify improvements to walking and cycling connections in the Denham area (the A412 corridor), including between Denham railway station, Denham Green and Hertfordshire.
We're working with local partners in the Colne Valley area to refine our options.
Haddenham to Stone
We are investigating active travel connections between Haddenham and Stone, and we are currently exploring options to link these settlements with the existing Pebble Way route into Aylesbury.
This project is at an early stage and we understand that there has been early local engagement undertaken by local stakeholders to gather insight.
A formal engagement process, led by Buckinghamshire Council, will be carried out once assessments have been completed. This will provide information on the project, with an opportunity for interested parties to give feedback and inform decision-making.
Haddenham to Thame
Ivers
We're developing a scheme to provide active travel connections between Pinewood Studios, Iver Heath, Iver, Iver Station and Richings Park.
This supports wider aspirations to improve connectivity with Denham, Slough, Uxbridge and Heathrow Airport.
Stoke Mandeville
We're exploring opportunities to improve active travel connections between the Stoke Mandeville Stadium, Hospital and railway station.
We're working with both housing developers and Network Rail to identify potential routes to study further.
