Apply for a secondary school place
Introduction and key dates
If you live in Buckinghamshire, you can apply for a secondary school place between 4 September 2025 and 31 October 2025.
There is a separate application if you want to change school and apply during this academic year.
Buckinghamshire has both upper (all-ability) schools and grammar schools.
If you want your child to attend a grammar school, they must first sit the Secondary Transfer Test and achieve a score of 121.
