Report a blocked drain or flooding

Use this service to report blocked drains, drainage problems and flooding on public roads and footpaths.

We are responsible for drains and gullies on publicly maintained roads, including flooding caused by blocked drains.

Drains on private property, public sewers and most other surface water flooding are usually the responsibility of the water company.

Include as much information as possible, including:

• photographs (if it is safe to take them)
• a description of the problem
• a description of the location, for example outside house number 25

All drains and gullies are marked individually on the reporting map. Select the correct one when making your report.

You need an email address to use the online reporting service.

You will receive an email when:

• a report status is updated
• a highways officer adds a comment or updates the report

Report other types of flooding, including flooding:

• causing a danger to life
• from a public sewer
• from a main river or reservoir
