How to pay for parking in a council car park
You can pay to park in a council car park in 4 ways.
Not all these payment methods are available in all our car parks. View individual car park listings for payment options.
The 4 different ways to pay
View the 4 different payment options below.
When paying at a machine, it will clearly show if the payment has been accepted.
Machines are ticketless, so you do not need to display anything in your vehicle. The details will be sent to our officers.
Credit and debit cards are accepted methods of payment, but not all machines accept all methods of payment.
You can use any of the parking apps that are accepted at our pay-and-display car parks.
The apps are unified by the National Parking Platform (NPP) so the location code for each car park is the same across all apps.
Once you’ve registered on an app, your payments can be made by credit or debit card.
You can use season tickets in some of our car parks.
Read about car park season tickets and how to buy one.
You can apply for a resident parking permit for:
- Water Meadow car park in Chesham, Chiltern
- South Bucks council car parks (Beaconsfield, Burnham, Farnham Common and Gerrards Cross).
