Annexes and Council Tax

If you are using the annex as part of your main residence and not letting it out

Apply for a Council Tax discount

If your property includes a second separate dwelling (annex) that is rated separately for Council Tax you may be entitled to a 50% discount if you are both:

using the annex as part of your main residence (ie as an art studio or summer house)
not letting it out separately to the main home
