Market pitch rents and incentives

This fee is per 3m x 3m space and includes waste disposal and business rates. Please note for the Aylesbury Market, we will ask you for your rent at the beginning of trade. Payment is only by debit or credit card. If you become a regular trader, you can pay by direct debit. We do not accept cash or cheques.

Food outlets must provide a minimum of 4 chairs and 1 table, bistro style.

You will start on the market as a Casual Trader. Your first week will be at the full rate. However, on your return visits you will get following benefits:

• half the casual trader’s rent for your 2nd and 3rd consecutive weeks of trading, to welcome you
• rent FREE for your 4th and 5th consecutive weeks of trading on the market, to support you.

At the end of your 5th week of trading, you can apply to become a Regular Trader or remain a Casual Trader at the appropriate standard rent. However, if you want to stay as a Casual Trader, we cannot guarantee that a pitch will always be available, but we will do our best to accommodate you.

If you start trading in November and December, the incentive will start in January

Once you become a regular trader, we will give you:

• guaranteed pitch on each trading day for which you are designated a Regular Trader
• 2 weeks ‘holiday’ per year when you do not need to trade, which are rent-free (2 weeks’ notice required)
• reduced parking costs

Except for the above ‘holidays’, as a Regular Trader you commit to trade on the Market throughout the year and pay rent in advance for the use of your pitch whether or not you actually trade.
