Hot weather

The weather is exceptionally hot. View guidance on conserving water and staying safe in hot weather and what to do if you see someone sleeping on the streets on Severe Weather Emergency Provision (SWEP).

Bin collections will start from 6am on 30 June and 1 July

Due to the hot weather, we'll start collecting bins from 6am on Monday 30 June and Tuesday 1 July. If your bin is due for collection, make sure you put your bins out the night before or no later than 6am on the day of collection.

Report a dead animal

We are responsible for the removal of dead animals found on public land. This includes:

  • wild animals such as badgers and foxes

When we remove a domestic animal such as a cat or dog, we will try to identify and inform the owner from a collar or microchip where possible.

We are unable to remove dead animals from private property. This is the responsibility of the property owner.
