Homeless and temporary accommodation

Self-contained accommodation from a social housing provider

This will be self-contained accommodation with a Registered Provider (Housing Association). It is not your final offer of accommodation but is provided in partnership with the council and may not be large enough for your family to have their own bedrooms. In this case the provider will issue you with a licence agreement and will help you to make a claim for housing benefit.

The property may be unfurnished, more information is provided below as to who can help you with furniture and goods.

The provider will let you know how much rent you need to pay, this may be covered by housing benefit but you may need to pay some or all of these costs yourself, including any service charge.
