Buckinghamshire Archives is moving to a new location

Buckinghamshire Archives is moving from Aylesbury to High Wycombe. The new site will provide significantly better facilities for the archives, customers and staff.

We have not confirmed the exact closing date yet.

It will close to onsite public access at some point this year for 6 months. This is so the team can carry out the complex preparations needed to move the archive. The Service will then reopen in High Wycombe.

We'll update this page as soon as the dates are confirmed.

Whilst the Archives are closed for public access, you will still be able to access them and have professional (free) advice via:

• The Virtual Searchroom
• 'Ask the Archivist' online one to one service
• Virtual Classroom for schools and higher education (we're currently developing this service)
