Local Government Association Corporate Peer Challenge (CPC)

From 20 September to 3 October 2025, the Local Government Association (LGA) carried out a Corporate Peer Challenge of Buckinghamshire Council.

This was the first Corporate Peer Challenge since we became unitary in 2020.

A Corporate Peer Challenge is a tool offered by the LGA to independently review areas such as our:

• local priorities and outcomes
• organisational and place leadership
• governance and culture
• financial planning and management
• capacity for improvement
