Community Infrastructure Levy
Introduction
The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a charge made by local authorities on new developments in their area.
The amount charged will depend on the type of development and the area in which the development is taking place.
From 1 January every year our CIL rates will change in line with inflation.
Planning obligations
Some developers may also negotiate a Section 106 agreement with the local planning authority. These are private agreements that are also known as planning obligations.
Along with CIL, these legally binding agreements help us deliver the infrastructure needed in Buckinghamshire.
