13. Anonymous/vexatious/repetitive reports

13.1 The Council will not normally investigate anonymous reports of alleged breaches of planning control but retains the discretion to do so. Repetitive or vexatious reports will not be investigated.

13.2 Anonymous or Repetitive Reports are not usually pursued as without contact details, officers cannot follow up for clarification or provide updates. This limits the ability to investigate effectively.

13.3 Repetitive or vexatious reports can divert resources from genuine cases. If the same issue has already been investigated and resolved, further reports may not be pursued unless new evidence is provided.
