Bus service disruptions and stop closures

These are updated Monday to Friday (only) and are subject to change.

During Public Holidays most bus companies in Buckinghamshire will operate their Sunday timetables. Bus services which do not operate on Sundays will not run. Please double check with your company before travel:

Summer Bank Holiday - Monday 31 August

When: Ongoing until further notice

What: This road will be closed for works by HS2. Bus route 133 will divert missing stops in Chetwode.

When: Monday 28 April 2025 to Friday 28 August 2026

What: This road is closed for works by HS2. Bus route 16 will enter and leave Quainton via Blackgrove Road, serving Quainton between Aylesbury and Waddesdon. Passengers are advised that buses travelling towards Aylesbury will serve stops in Waddesdon up to 10 minutes earlier than usual. Buses from Quainton towards Steeple Claydon will serve stops up to 10 minutes earlier.

When: Monday 20 April to Sunday 23 August

What: This road is closed for utility works. Bus route 53 will divert via Cumberland Avenue and Northern Road, missing the Stoke Park stops on Park Road. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Farnham Lane instead.

When: Friday 17 July to Thursday 3 September

What: This road will be closed for works by Cadent Gas. Bus routes 79 and 79A will divert via Eskdale Avenue and Broad Street missing the stops on White Hill and the Codmore Cross stop on Eskdale Avenue.

When: Thursday 23 July to Friday 4 September

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways, east of Place Farm Way junction. Buses will divert missing the stops near to the Risborough Road junction.

When: Monday 27 July to Wednesday 5 August

What: This road will be closed for works by Cadent Gas. Buses will divert as follows:

Routes 101, 106 and 107 will divert via the High Street, Lower Road and Kingsway, missing stops on Market Place, Gold Hill North, Nicol Road, Grove Lane, Gold Hill West and Austenwood Lane. For the centre of Chalfont St Peter, please wait on the High Street outside and opposite Mr Crusty and hail to the driver to stop.

Route 104 buses will serve stops in the High Street in Chalfont St Giles, turn back at the junction with London Road and divert via Narcot Lane resuming normal route on Grove Lane. Stops on the London Road, Amersham Road, Market Place Gold Hill North and Nicol Road will be missed.

When: Monday 27 July to Wednesday 12 August

What: This road will be closed for works by Cadent Gas. Bus routes 106 and 107 will divert missing stops on Copthall Lane.

When: Monday 27 July to Monday 17 August

What: This road will be closed for works by Cadent Gas. Bus route 104 will divert via Jordans Village missing stops in Seer Green on School Lane, Chalfont Road and Newbarn Lane.

When: Monday 27 July to Friday 21 August

What: This road will be closed for works by Cadent Gas. Bus routes 55 and 190 will divert via Hyde Heath missing stops at Hyde End, Missenden Road and Church Street.

When: Thursday 30 July to Wednesday 5 August

What: This road will be closed for works by Thames Water. Bus route 55B will divert via Ray's Hill missing stops on Cholesbury Lane and Gilbert's Hill.

When: Thursday 30 July to Thursday 6 August

What: This road will be closed for emergency works by Cadent Gas. Bus route 101 will divert missing all stops on Elizabeth Avenue.

When: Friday 31 July to Saturday 15 August

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 380 will divert missing the stop on Mayflower Way.

When: 1 and 4 to 6 August, 7am to 7pm

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways between Tesco and the town centre. Buses will divert via the Bypass entering and leaving the High Street via Startford Road and missing all stops on London Road north of Tesco. Service B3 will run to Badgers Way as normal but then turn back to the bypass missing the stops on Bourton Road and Bourtonville.

When: Monday 3 to Friday 7 August, 8pm to 6am (5 nights)

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways between Ellen Road and Mandeville Road. The last journeys on route 9 (1955 from the town centre and 2015 from the Hospital) will start and finish in Hawkslade. Stops between Orwell Drive and the Hospital will not be served.

When: Monday 3 to Monday 17 August, 7pm to 7am (except weekends)

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 31 will need to divert.

Evening Services from High Wycombe will terminate at Hazlemere Crossroads stops.

Morning services from High Wycombe will divert via the A40 London Road.

When: Tuesday 4 to Thursday 6 August

What: This road will be closed for emergency works by Affinity Water. Bus route 190 will divert via Ballinger Road missing stops on Oxford Street (Lee Common) Lee Clump Road and Red Lion Hill.

When: Tuesday 4 to Monday 10 August

What: This road is closed for emergency works by Anglian Water. Bus route 165 will serve Wingrave then divert via the A418, miss stops in Aston Abbotts & Cublington.

When: Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 August

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 300 will divert via Weston Turville missing all stops between Marroway and World's End Lane. The RCB route 6 will miss all stops on the Wendover Road, except for the Garden Centre stop.

When: Saturday 8 August

What: This road will be closed for works by HS2. Bus routes B1, B2 and B12 will divert missing stops in Water Stratford, Brackley and Turweston.

When: Thursday 6 and Friday 7 August, 7pm to 6am (2 nights)

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route X20 will divert via Churchway and Station Road, back tracking to and from the Railway Station. Stops on Thame Road and the Fort End stops on Tacks Lane and Banks Road will be missed.

When: Thursday 6 to Friday 21 August, 7am to 7pm (excluding weekends)

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 300 will divert via the A4010 and Bradenham Wood Lane missing stops on Woodway, New Road Lacey Green and Walter's Ash.

When: Saturday 8 August, 7am to 7pm

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 101 will divert via Stanley Hill and Amersham Road on this day. All stops in Little Chalfont and on White Lion Road, Amersham will be missed.

When: Monday 10 to Friday 14 August, 8pm to 6am (5 nights)

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. The 1935 and 2050 route 101 journeys from Uxbridge will divert via Kingsway, Lower Road and the High Street missing stops on Market Place, Gold Hill North, Nicol Road, Grove Lane, Gold Hill West and Austenwood Lane. For the centre of Chalfont St Peter, please request the driver to stop on the High Street outside Mr Crusty.

When: Monday 10 to Friday 14 August, 7am to 7pm

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 300 will divert via the Wendover Road missing stops on Stoke Road, Mandeville Road, The Hospital, Lower Road and Station Road.

Instead a shuttle bus will operate from the temporary stop opposite St Mary's Church on Station Road, Stoke Mandeville to Aylesbury Bus Station, via Lower Road and the Hospital (and return). Timetable will appear on this page shortly.

When: Monday 10 to Sunday 23 August

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus Route 380 will divert missing the stop on Mayflower Way.

When: Monday 10 to Thursday 27 August

What: This road will be closed for works by Cadent Gas. Bus routes 101, 104, 106 and 107 will divert missing the stops on Nicol Road and Grove Lane.

When: Tuesday 11 to Saturday 15 August

What: This road will be closed for works by Thames Water. Bus route 112 will divert missing Ludgershall.

When: Wednesday 12 August

What: This road will be closed for works by Anglian Water. Bus route 54C will divert missing stops on Queen Catherine Road on this day.

When: Sunday 16 August, 8am to 5.30pm

What: Due to a monthly market this road will be closed. Bus routes 1 and 1A will divert missing the stops on The Broadway, Whielden Street and the Hospital stops on Whielden Lane.
