Bus service disruptions and stop closures

These are updated Monday to Friday (only) and are subject to change.

During Public Holidays most bus companies in Buckinghamshire will operate their Sunday timetables. Bus services which do not operate on Sundays will not run. Please double check with your company before travel:

Summer Bank Holiday - Monday 31 August

When: Ongoing until further notice

What: This road will be closed for works by HS2. Bus route 133 will divert missing stops in Chetwode.

When: Monday 28 April 2025 to Friday 28 August 2026

What: This road is closed for works by HS2. Bus route 16 will enter and leave Quainton via Blackgrove Road, serving Quainton between Aylesbury and Waddesdon. Passengers are advised that buses travelling towards Aylesbury will serve stops in Waddesdon up to 10 minutes earlier than usual. Buses from Quainton towards Steeple Claydon will serve stops up to 10 minutes earlier.

When: Monday 20 April to Sunday 23 August

What: This road is closed for utility works. Bus route 53 will divert via Cumberland Avenue and Northern Road, missing the Stoke Park stops on Park Road. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Farnham Lane instead.

When: Monday 15 to Wednesday 17 June, 7am to 7pm

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 34 will miss all stops on Cock Lane. Bus route 27 will miss stops on Orchard Road and Bank Street.

When: Wednesday 17 June, 9.30am to 3.30pm

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 105 will divert missing stops on Village Road and Tower Road.

When: Thursday 18 June, 9.30am to 3.30pm

What: This road is closed for works by Thames Water. Bus route 27 will divert via Totteridge Road missing all stops between the High Street and Bowerdean Crossroads.

When: Saturday 20 June

What: This road is closed for works by HS2. Bus routes B1, B2 and B12 will divert between Tingewick and Brackley via Little Tingewick in both directions. Stops on Water Stratford Road, in Water Stratford, Westbury and Turweston will not be served.

When: Sunday 21 June, 8am to 5.30pm

What: This road will be closed for a monthly market. Bus routes 1 and 1A will divert missing stops on The Broadway, Whielden Street and the Hospital stops on Whielden Lane.

When: Monday 22 to Saturday 27 June, 9pm to 6am

What: This road is closed for works by HS2. The last journey towards Amersham on route 101 will divert missing stops on the Amersham Road.

When: Wednesday 24 June, 7pm to 6am

What: This road is closed between Friarage Road and Churchill Avenue for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus routes 1, 1E, 9, 10 and X20 will divert via Gatehouse Road, Griffin Lane and Coldharbour Way affecting the services as follows:

• Route 1 will miss all stops between the town centre and Fowler Road.
• Route 1E will miss all stops between the town centre and Fowler Road and the stops towards the town centre on Coldharbour Way and Pearson Close.
• Routes 9 and 10 will miss all stops between the town centre and Churchill Avenue
• Route X20 will miss all stops between the town centre and The Bugle Horn PH stops.

When: Sunday 28 June, 6am to 7pm

What: Due to an event on the High Street, buses will be unable to serve The Broadway stops on this day. Routes 1 and 1A will instead call at the stop on Park Road just past Stanley Avenue in both directions.

When: Monday 29 June, 9.30am to 3.30pm

What: This road is closed for works by Openreach. Bus route 110 will divert and will be unable to serve the Home Close stop on Crendon Road.

When: Monday 29 June to Saturday 4 July, 8pm to 6am

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus routes 1 and 1A will divert via Totteridge Road and Arnison Avenue missing all stops between High Wycombe Rail Station and Terriers Crossroads.

When: Monday 29 June to Saturday 4 July, 10pm to 5am

What: This road is closed for works by HS2. Bus route 724 will divert missing all stops in Denham on these nights.

When: Monday 29 June to Wednesday 8 July

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 27 will divert missing all stops on Walton Drive, Kingston Road and Totteridge Drive.

When: Thursday 2 July, 9am to 3pm

What: This road is closed for works by Openreach. Bus route 165 will divert missing all stops in Aston Abbotts and Cublington

When: Monday 6 to Monday 27 July

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 11 will divert missing stops on Churchill Avenue, Russell Avenue, Lavric Road and Alham Road.

When: Tuesday 7 July, 9am to 4pm

What: This road is closed for works by Anglian Water. Bus route B4 will divert missing the stops on Main Street and Church Street.

When: Wednesday 8 July, 9.30am to 3.30pm

What: This road is closed for works by Openreach. Bus route 163 will serve Edlesborough as usual then turn at the junction of Moor End and Bower Lane missing all stops in Eaton Bray.
