Bus service disruptions and stop closures

These are updated Monday to Friday (only) and are subject to change.

During the following Public Holidays most bus companies in Buckinghamshire will operate their Sunday timetables. Bus services which do not operate on Sundays will not run. Please double check with your company before travel:

What: This road will be closed for works by HS2. Bus route 133 will divert missing stops in Chetwode.

When: Monday 28 April 2025 to Tuesday 30 June 2026

What: This road is closed for works by HS2. Bus route 16 will enter and leave Quainton via Blackgrove Road, serving Quainton between Aylesbury and Waddesdon. Passengers are advised that buses travelling towards Aylesbury will serve stops in Waddesdon up to 10 minutes earlier than usual. Buses from Quainton towards Steeple Claydon will serve stops up to 10 minutes earlier.

When: Tuesday 24 March to Thursday 2 April, 9.30am to 3.30pm

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus routes 111 and 113 will divert missing stops in Easington, Chilton and the stops on Carters Lane in Long Crendon.

When: From 7pm on Friday 27 March to 6am on Monday 13 April

What: This road will be closed for works on the new South East Aylesbury Link Road between the Elm Farm Estate and Hampden Hall. Buses will divert as follows:

Route 50 will run between Aylesbury and the Elm Farm Estate as normal, then divert via Bedgrove, the A41, Aston Clinton, Weston Road and Main Street in Weston Turville (and vice versa) resuming normal route on Worlds End Lane. In Weston Turville route 50 buses towards Aylesbury will stop directly outside the Chandos pub.

Route 55, 55A and 55B will divert via Mandeville Road and Station Road in Stoke Mandeville missing all stops in Elm Farm and Wendover Road.

When: Saturday 28 March to Sunday 12 April

What: This road is closed for works by SGN. Bus routes X4 and X14 will divert via Stocklake missing all stops on the High Street, Tring Road and Oakfield Road.

When: Monday 30 March to Friday 3 April

What: This road is closed for works by Affinity Water near to Chartridge Conference Centre. Bus route 190 will need to divert missing all stops on Chartridge Lane between Swanbottom and Chesham town centre.

When: Monday 30 March to Friday 10 April

What: This road is closed for works by UKPN. Bus routes 1, 1A, 1B will divert via Gore Hill missing stops on The Broadway, Whielden Street and the Hospital stops on Whielden Lane.

When: Monday 30 March to Sunday 12 April

What: This road and Gold Hill East are closed for works by Cadent Gas. Bus routes 101, 104, 106 and 107 will need to divert missing stops on Market Place, Gold Hill North, Nicol Road, Grove Lane, Gold Hill West and Austenwood Lane. In Chalfont St Peter village centre, passengers are advised to wait on the High Street, outside or opposite Mr Crusty and hail to the bus driver to stop.

What: This road is closed for works by Cadent Gas. Bus route 105 will turn after serving the Red Lion PH stops on Village Road and divert missing all stops on Magpie Lane

When: Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 April, 8pm to 6am (2 nights)

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Buses will divert via Plantation Road and Grimsdell's Road missing stops on Woodside Road.

When: Wednesday 1 to Friday 10 April

What: This road is closed for works by UKPN. Buses will divert via the A4010 Risborough Road, missing all stops in Ellesborough.

When: Thursday 2 April, 9.30am to 3.30pm

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route B4 will miss Western Avenue and Overn Avenue between these times.

When: Thursday 2 April, 8pm to 5am

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways in one direction from Griffin Lane to Broadfields. Bus routes 2E and 4E will divert via Griffin Lane, Brunel Road and Rabans Lane. Route 2E will resume normal route on Meredith Drive and route 4E on Meadowcroft. Journeys towards town will not be affected.

When: Tuesday 7 to Thursday 9 April, 9.30am to 3.30pm

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus routes 62 and 167 will divert via Pitstone missing stops on Lower Icknield Way, Marsworth and the Tring bound stop on Tringford Road.

When: Tuesday 7 to Thursday 9 April

What: This road is closed for works by Thames Water. Bus routes 106 and 107 will divert via Stoke Hammond Road instead. As such the stops on Windmill Road and Framewood Road in Fulmer and Wexham, located between Stoke Hammond Road and Hollybush Hill will be served by service 106 instead of service 107. The stops on Gerrards Cross Road, Stoke Poges between Hollybush Hill and Stoke Hammond Road will be served by service 107 instead of service 106. Please check the timetable before travel for details of times.

When: Tuesday 7 to Thursday 9 April

What: This road is closed for works by Anglian Water. Bus routes B1, B2 and 134 will turn after serving the stops on Main Street. The stops on Fulwell Road will not be served.

When: Tuesday 7 to Friday 10 April, 7am to 7pm

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 68 will divert via Lake End Road missing stops on Court Lane and Marsh Lane.

When: Tuesday 7 to Sunday 12 April

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route B4 will divert via West Street and Western Avenue missing stops on Overn Avenue, the Market Hill stops on Moreton Road and the Buckingham bound stop on Moreton Road near the junction of Western Avenue.

When: Tuesday 7 to Wednesday 15 April, 7pm to 7am

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 40 will divert missing all stops between Ibstone Road in Stokenchurch and Piddington.

When: Wednesday 8 to Friday 10 April

What: This road is closed for works by Anglian Water. Bus route 165 will divert via the High Street missing the Soulbury Turn stops.

When: Thursday 9 April

What: This road is closed for works by Anglian Water. Bus route 165 will divert missing all stops in Aston Abbotts and Cublington.

When: Friday 10 April, 9.30am to 3.30pm

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 34 will divert via Park Lane and Horns Lane missing stops on Clay Lane in Booker and Marlow Road in Lane End.

When: Friday 10 April, 9.30am to 3.30pm

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 112 will divert missing stops on Waddesdon Hill and in Upper Winchendon.

When: Sunday 12 April

What: Due to an event on the High Street, the stops on The Broadway will be closed. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Broad Street or Red Lion instead during this day.
