Buckinghamshire All-Age Carers Partnership Board

The Buckinghamshire All-Age Carers Partnership Board brings together:

• our council services
• NHS organisations
• voluntary and community sector organisations

We work together to improve support for unpaid carers of all ages.

The board oversees the Buckinghamshire All-Age Carers Strategy 2025 to 2030 and related action plans.

We will:

• ensure people with lived experience can share their views to help shape future strategies and support
• value and respect you
• recognise your knowledge and experience of your own life and caring role
• help you access information, advice and support that is right for you, when you need it
• improve support for young carers as they move into adulthood
• improve communication between services so you do not have to repeat your story to different professionals or organisations
• support your wellbeing by helping you to:
  • take breaks from caring
  • have a life alongside your caring role
• provide training for staff to improve support for carers
• support you to access education, training and employment opportunities alongside your caring role

Through the partnership board we want every carer to be recognised and valued, being able to access the information, support, and resources they need to live fulfilling lives, alongside caring.

The board develops and oversees the All-Age Carers Strategy 2025 to 2030 and action plan to ensure carers:

• are resilient and feel supported to manage their own health and wellbeing
• feel valued and included in their community
• have their voice heard at an individual and strategic level
• have opportunities to:
  • achieve their goals
  • develop their own skills
  • have employment and training opportunities
• individual support is personalised, accessible and timely
• are supported to have plans in place when they cannot care

The board meets every 2 months.
