Household Recycling Centres
Our Household Recycling Centres will close at 3pm on Wednesday 24 & Thursday 25 June in order to avoid the hottest parts of the day and for the safety of both customers and staff.
We expect usual opening hours to resume on Friday 26 June with all sites open 9am-6pm. Any changes to this will be posted here as soon as possible and via our social media channels.
Family Centres
Our Family Centres will not open on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 June. Parents and carers can still access support by contacting the Buckinghamshire Family Information Service or emailing their local centre.
Regular opening hours are expected to resume from Friday 26 June. Any change to this will be posted here.
Country Parks
Country Parks will remain open but we advise avoiding visiting during the hotter parts of the day and keep to more shaded areas.
Please stay out of the water. Swimming in lakes and rivers within Country Parks is not permitted.
Roads
Our gritters will be out treating road surfaces with granite dust to protect surfaces from melting in the extreme heat. Roads across the county will be regularly monitored but if you spot a problem anywhere on the network, please report this to us on Fix My Street.
