You will be disregarded for Council Tax purposes if you are a member of a religious community where the principal occupation is:
- prayer
- contemplation
- education
- the relief of suffering
To qualify, you must:
- have no income or capital of your own (disregarding any income from a pension from any previous employment)
- be dependent on the community to provide your material needs

You will need to provide evidence of your:
- membership of the religious community
- income and dependency on the community for your needs
