How to find your Business Rates account number and online key

Account number

You can find your account number:

  • on your paper bill
  • on any other letters we send to you about your account (reminder notices or final notices)
  • on your bank statement or online banking, if you pay by Direct Debit or standing order
  • by signing in to your existing online Business Rates account

Online key

Your online key is needed to register for an online Business Rates account for the first time.

The online key can be found on the latest bill or recovery notice that we have sent you.

You must look at the latest notice or bill issued as the key will change for security reasons until you have created an online account.

The key is case sensitive so must be entered exactly as shown.

If you have just moved in and completed our online form requesting paperless billing, then you will be sent an email with your account number on. You can use this and the phone number you provided to create an account.
