Election of a Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley Police Area on 2 May 2024

An election for the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley will take place on 2 May 2024.

The Chief Executive of West Berkshire Council has been appointed Police Area Returning Officer (PARO) for Thames Valley area. Candidates wishing to submit nomination papers should Contact Electoral Services - West Berkshire Council.

The Local Returning Officer for Buckinghamshire Council will deliver the poll in Buckinghamshire.

A by election will be held for Winslow Town Council 2 May 2024 to fill a casual vacancy that has arisen.

Marlow Parish Poll on Thursday 9 May 2024

At a Parish meeting for the Parish of Marlow held on 8 April 2024, a poll was demanded on the following questions:

Question 1: Do you wish Marlow Film Studios to be built?

Question 2: Do you want development in the greenbelt on the scale proposed by the Marlow Film Studio?

A poll will be held on Thursday 9 May 2024, between 4pm and 9pm. The result of a parish poll is not binding. It may provide an indication of support for, or opposition to, specific local matters.

Only local government electors registered to vote in the Marlow Town Council parish area by 9 April 2024 can vote at the parish poll in person.

There is no provision to send poll cards for parish polls or to vote by post or proxy.
