Request a clinical waste collection from your home

You can ask us to collect used needles and syringes (sharps) from your home.

We will also collect needle clippers and lancets.

All items for collection must be stored in a sharps bin. These are available on prescription from your GP or pharmacist.

You can use your sharps bin to dispose of any medical supplies that could cause cuts or puncture wounds, such as:

• needles
• syringes
• lancets used with finger-pricking device
• needle clippers

You should always:

• put used items into the sharps bin immediately and not take them out again
• only fill the bin to the fill line
• store the bin in a safe place that's out of sight and reach of children and others

You must cancel or amend your collection within 48 hours of the collection date.
