6. Monitoring of the Protocol

6.1.

The Local Authority is responsible for the fair administration of this Protocol. The Local Authority will work with schools to ensure the Protocol is followed and to quality assure the process.

6.2.

Exclusion and Reintegration Officers will monitor the placements of permanently excluded children under the Protocol and ensure these children are placed on roll of the named school and start in a timely manner.

6.3.

The Admissions and Transport Team and Education Entitlement Team will keep records of the placement of children under the Protocol.

6.4.

If a school refuses to accept the placement of children through the Fair Access Protocol, the Admissions and Transport Manager, the Education Entitlement Team Manager and where appropriate the Chair of the Fair Access Board will seek to resolve such issues through contact and negotiation with the relevant school.
