10. Key agenda items

10.1.

Vulnerable Children without a school place – presented by Admissions. A list of the proposed placements will be provided in advance of the meeting. This list will include only the information as declared to the Admissions Team by the parent on the Common In-Year Application Form. The full content of which will also be supplied by the Admissions Team to the school designated to admit the child. Further information, where sought, should not normally delay the onboarding process beyond 20 school days of the FAB meeting.

10.2.

Permanent Exclusions – To consider the needs of pupils and provide information about students who need to secure a school place via the Fair Access Protocol – presented by Aspire.

10.3.

Managed Moves - Exceptional cases will be presented by the Exclusions and Reintegration Team and a representative from the home school. The Board members will consider a managed move where a young person is at risk of permanent exclusion and where schools have been unsuccessful in securing a managed move locally (schools must have established that pupil, parent/carers agree with principle of a managed move).

10.4.

Confirmation of managed moves will be provided to the Board – presented by the Exclusions and Reintegration Team and/or a representative from the receiving school.

10.5.

Updates of Full time PRU placements will be provided to the Board – presented by Aspire.

10.6.

Statistics and trend items – presented by the Education Entitlement Manager.
