Find out about listed buildings

The local heritage list plays an important part in identifying local character.

Sites included on this list will not be on the national list. But their local importance is recognised and is taken into account in the planning process.

Once on the list, these sites become known as Non-Designated Heritage Assets (NDHAs).

The local list can include:

• buildings and structures
• archaeological remains
• parks and gardens
• public works of art
