Proposal for a pyrolysis plant facility in Wendover
We have received a proposal for an environmental permit to operate a small-scale thermal treatment plant. The plant would use technology currently seen in South Korea to operate a pyrolysis plant in the UK at an existing site in Wendover.
About pyrolysis plants
Pyrolysis is the process of heating of organic material (including plastics) in the absence of oxygen. At a pyrolysis plant, the process is used to break materials down so that they can be reused.
There are currently no pyrolysis plants in the UK.
