Public register of permitted activity
We are required by law to regulate certain types of industry and business activities to try to reduce pollution and minimise environmental impacts.
This means that some businesses must obtain a permit.
We are required to maintain a public register containing information on the businesses we approve permits for including the:
- type of business we have awarded permits for
- process they carry out which may affect the environment
- date the permit was issued
- current risk status as of the last inspection
