About the Safety Advisory Group (SAG)
The Safety Advisory Group brings together all the agencies that have an interest in the safety and environmental impact of public events.
Members of the SAG include:
- Thames Valley Police
- South Central Ambulance Service
- Bucks & Milton Keynes Fire & Rescue Service
- Buckinghamshire Council
Our aim is to help event organisers plan events and encourage them to work with relevant agencies. While we strongly recommend consulting the SAG, you do not have to. The group is a non-statutory body that has no legal powers or responsibilities to approve events or prevent them from taking place.
Organisers and others involved in the running of an event retain the principal legal duties for ensuring public safety.
