Enhancing green spaces in Buckinghamshire
The Buckinghamshire Highways Alliance continues to deliver meaningful social value by supporting the improvement of green spaces across the county.
Through hands-on volunteering and collaboration with local organisations, the Buckinghamshire Highways Alliance is helping to create more vibrant, accessible, and sustainable outdoor spaces for communities to enjoy.
Recent efforts include:
- Supporting Terriers Community Garden: Our volunteers painted the garden shed and cleared a nearby footpath to improve access and usability for visitors.
- Partnering with Grow Together Bucks, a community organisation focused on food growing and wellbeing: Our volunteers helped maintain their allotment, contributing to a greener, healthier environment and supporting local food initiatives.
These activities not only enhance the physical environment but also foster stronger community connections and promote wellbeing.
Through these initiatives, the Buckinghamshire Highways Alliance continues to show its commitment to creating lasting social value and greener communities across the region.
