Buckingham recycling centre is temporarily closing from December
The recycling centre will be closing for up to 14 weeks for essential drainage works.
The last day you can visit is Sunday 30 November.
We plan to reopen it before the end of March 2026, if there are no delays caused by weather.

Disposing of different types of waste

Put them into your recycling bin at home.
Any large cardboard can be flattened and placed next to your bin on collection day.
Residents in North Buckinghamshire will be able to get branded sacks from local collection points. We'll update this page when these have been confirmed.
You can put out 1 branded sack (per household, per week). Put it next to your general waste bin (on collection days) and the crews will collect it.
All supermarkets have a battery collection box.
You can also place loose batteries in any type of small clear bag and put it on top of your bin lid on collection day.

You can place electricals that are smaller than a shoebox (for example a hair dryer) on top of your recycling bin lid on your collection day.
The space on each bin lorry to store electricals is small. Once it is full the crews cannot take any more.
If you have a subscription, you can place this in your brown garden waste bin (up until the last collection between 1 to 12 December). Collections will resume from 26 January on your usual collection day.
