If your bin is scheduled to be collected on Tuesday, we'll start collections from 6am. This is due to the hot weather and our commitment to the safety of the teams. Leave your bins out the night before or no later than 6am on the collection day.

Policy 26 – Infectious healthcare waste and sharps and needles

The council offers a collection of healthcare waste and sharps and needles from householders.

Requests for a regular clinical bagged waste will be set up once an application has been received and endorsed by a health care professional.

An agreed collection point, day of collection, frequency of collection, size and type of container and any other specific instructions regarding this service will be decided by the council.

Sharps collections (needles & syringes) can be requested adhoc using the online booking system. The council may request residents to obtain sharps boxes from their health care professional.
