An enforcement notice is a notice served against work that has been done without permission.
It can either decide that:
- the unauthorised development needs to be demolished
- the use of the building to cease (for circumstances where a change of use application would be needed)

The Enforcement Register contains copies of Planning Enforcement Notices issued since 1982.
The valid enforcement notices are available for public viewing on Public Access.
