You can read Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) to find out how the council consults on planning policy.

The government may also consult on national planning policy, which you can read about in the National Planning Policy Framework on GOV.UK.

Public consultations

We are not responsible for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) such as HS2.

However, you can have input on the local development plans that help decide what’s built in Buckinghamshire.

We often run consultations about changes to any changes or feedback on planning policy on YourVoiceBucks our consultation portal.

There are also sometimes referendums on the acceptance of Neighbourhood Plans to look out for in your local area.

For larger projects we run public inquiries which you can attend in person or on Microsoft Teams.
