Make a taxi or private hire complaint

You can make a make a complaint about a taxi or private hire driver or vehicle if:

  • they are driving dangerously or breaking the speed limit
  • their behaviour made you feel unsafe, including being:
    • aggressive
    • intimidating
    • discriminatory
    • sexually inappropriate
  • you are charged incorrectly for your taxi fare
  • there are problems with the quality of vehicle
  • the vehicle is parked inconsiderately or dangerously
  • you experienced discrimination

Before you begin

When making a complaint or giving feedback, try to provide one or more of the following:

  • the taxi’s licence plate number
  • the driver’s licence number (normally shown on their badge)
  • time, date and location of the incident
