Bus travel offers and discounts
There are several schemes we are currently operating that give discounts or rewards on bus travel.
Free Child Travel on buses this August
This August, children aged 15 and under can travel free on participating buses as part of the UK Government's Great British Summer Savings campaign.
The offer runs from 1 August 2026 to 31 August 2026 and is designed to help families save money on days out, shopping trips and everyday journeys during the summer holidays.
The bus companies participating in Buckinghamshire are:

- Carousel Buses (including PickMeUp service)

- Langston & Tasker

Free bus travel to London Luton Airport in August.
London Luton Airport are funding free Adult bus travel to and from London Luton Airport between 1 and 31 August inclusive. In Buckinghamshire, this includes two bus routes:
- X3 from Stoke Hammond
- X4 which serves Aylesbury and Wing
To benefit, adults must show a valid printed or digital boarding pass to the bus driver. For more details visit the London Luton Airport website.
Single bus fare cap
Until 31 March 2027, a single bus journey will cost no more than £3 on most routes across Buckinghamshire.
The Department for Transport (DfT) have launched a nationwide £3 fare cap scheme to support families with the cost of living.
The operators taking part in Buckinghamshire are:

- Carousel Buses (including the Wycombe Pick Me Up service)

- Langston & Tasker
- Red Eagle Buses
- Redline Buses
- Red Rose Travel
- Stagecoach
- Thames Valley Buses
- Z&S Transport
Early travel scheme
Holders of the Buckinghamshire Older Person and Disabled Bus Passes will be able to travel before 9am (Monday to Friday) for a reduced single fare of £1 on all journeys starting in Buckinghamshire. This excludes Carousel Buses' 102 journeys beyond Uxbridge (to Heathrow Airport).
Holders of a pass for a visual impairment can continue to travel free of charge at any time.

Better Points bus user rewards
Passengers in Buckinghamshire can be rewarded for their bus travel using the Better Points app.
Points can be used as a digital currency that can be spent at participating local businesses, redeemed for high street vouchers or donated to charity.

Free travel for under 16s on Village Connect, Aylesbury
From 27 July to 28 August 2026, children under 16 can travel free on Village Connect, Aylesbury when travelling with a paying adult.
Head into Aylesbury town for events and activities. During this time you can also enjoy days out at:
- Bucks Goat Centre
- College Lake Nature Reserve
- Marsworth Reservoir
- Wendover Woods (drop off from 8am, last Pick Up 6pm)
