Save the date! Recruitment Fair is a must for anyone inspired to teach

Teaching is a rewarding and fulfilling career, offering individuals a unique opportunity to inspire future generations, take on new challenges and share their passion for learning.

Taking place at the Buckinghamshire New University Aylesbury Campus on Saturday 18 November, the free information event is open to anyone who wants to find out more about becoming a teacher in Buckinghamshire.

The event, which is being run by Buckinghamshire Council in partnership with a range of education and training organisations, runs from 11am to 3pm and will feature a variety of presentations covering everything from the different routes into teaching, information about teaching primary and secondary levels and also practical detail about the application process and the funding and bursaries available. Representatives from a range of organisations will be on hand to answer questions and provide information.

Anita Cranmer, Buckinghamshire Council’s Cabinet Member for Children’s Services and Education said: “As a former teacher myself, I can confidently say that teaching is a fantastic and fulfilling career and I would advise anyone who thinks it is something they may be interested in to come along to our recruitment fair to find out more. You will be able to speak to a range of experts and ask any questions you may have, as well as find out about the many different routes into teaching and the types of teaching and training options available in Buckinghamshire.”

Anita added: “Great teachers come from all backgrounds, including newly qualified graduates, those who’ve gained experience in other careers and those already working in a school or education environment, so whatever your stage in life, if you are feeling inspired to teach or are simply curious to find out a bit more, take this opportunity and come along to our recruitment fair.”
