High Wycombe’s new Creative Hub set to opens its doors to the community
High Wycombe’s new Creative Hub will officially open on Saturday 27 September, marking the first major milestone in a three-year programme to boost local culture and creativity, made possible by grants from Arts Council England, the Rothschild Foundation and Buckinghamshire Council.
The We Make Wycombe Creative Hub opening event will take place at 1-2 Cornmarket, High Wycombe, from 11:30am to 2pm. It will feature live music, collaborative art activities, interactive AI experiences, and an opportunity to meet the team behind the project. Everyone is welcome to step inside the hub, enjoy refreshments, and find out more about the initiative.
The Creative Hub is the first visible outcome of the funding secured by Buckinghamshire Council in partnership with Bucks Culture and the town’s creative community. The investment is part of the Place Partnerships High Wycombe programme, which aims to strengthen the town’s cultural life by supporting local artists, venues, and organisations.
Peter Brazier, Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure at Buckinghamshire Council, said:
“This is a fantastic example of how quickly the recent funding is being put to work. In just a few months, we’ve gone from announcement to opening a space that will bring people together, support creative talent, and enrich everyday life in High Wycombe.
“If you live in or near the town, don’t miss this family-friendly event – it’s a brilliant opportunity to discover what’s happening, get involved, and celebrate local creativity.”
The hub will act as a central space for collaboration, learning, and showcasing local creativity. It will host regular events, workshops, and networking sessions, and is designed to be shaped by the community it serves.
Lallie Davis, Director of Bucks Culture, added:
“This is more than just a launch – it’s the beginning of a new chapter for High Wycombe’s creative community. The hub will be a place where ideas are shared, skills are developed, and culture becomes an even more visible and valued part of daily life.”
The event is free and open to all. For more information, visit: We Make Wycombe
