Could you help these children shine?

Help Them Shine is Buckinghamshire Council’s campaign to find a loving home for children in the council’s care who are waiting for adoption, and whose circumstances mean that they often have to wait longer to find their new family.

This can be because they are a little older, or they are brothers and sisters who need to stay together, or that they have non-white ethnic heritage. It may also be because they have additional needs due to significant developmental delays.

These children are looking for a family where they will be nurtured in a loving environment so that they can reach their full potential. A family that will Help Them Shine.

Anita Cranmer, Buckinghamshire Council’s Cabinet Member for Education and Children’s Services, said:

“Although they may have had a difficult start in life, the children in our care that sometimes wait longer to find an adoptive family have their lives ahead of them and are so full of potential – all they need is a couple or single person that can offer them the love and stability they need to grow and flourish. Could this be you?

“Being a parent is incredibly rewarding, but it comes with its challenges too. That’s why our Adoption Service provides post-adoption support that will always be there for you.

“If you feel that you could give a child their new family life and their new future, don’t hesitate to find out more about starting your adoption journey.”
