Change in service provider for Community Equipment Services

From 1 August 2025, there's been a change in who provides key services for Buckinghamshire Council and the NHS.

The Council’s equipment services provider, NRS Healthcare, stopped operating on 31 July 2025. The Council was notified of this with very little notice and had to quickly find a new provider.

Millbrook Healthcare is now supplying equipment and technology-enabled care. From Monday 20 October the Council is transferring to a new contract with Essity for continence products.

This transition is being carefully managed to make sure residents continue to receive the support they need. Keeping people safe and maintaining essential services remains the top priority during this period.

What you need to know:

  • If you receive equipment or technology enabled care, you do not need to do anything unless you need this to be repaired. In this case, call Millbrook Healthcare on 01296 840317.
  • If you receive continence products, please note that from Monday 20th October, the council is transferring to a new contract with Essity. Essity will be writing to all patients to confirm products and delivery details. All orders that have been previously raised but not yet fulfilled will be transferred to the Essity system for delivery. If you have an urgent need, please call 01296 383 204.
  • For Care Home providers, you can place an order online. This is the quickest and most efficient way. If you can’t order online or have urgent concerns, call Buckinghamshire Council’s Customer Service Centre on 01296 383204. We’re currently facing some delays and low stock in certain areas, so we appreciate your patience during this time.

If anyone has any questions or concerns, call us at 01296 383204.

Our phone lines are open:

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this transition period.
