How to access supported accommodation

Who might be eligible for supported accommodation

We offer supported accommodation as a housing solution in Buckinghamshire for people who require additional support and are either:

  • currently homeless
  • at risk of homelessness

Support may be needed with:

  • mental health challenges
  • substance misuse
  • learning disabilities
  • difficulties transitioning to independent living (for example for a young person leaving care or experiencing family breakdown)

What support is offered

This type of accommodation goes beyond providing a safe place to live.

It includes tailored support to help residents:

  • develop essential life skills
  • manage their tenancy
  • access education, training, or employment
  • work towards independent living

Types of supported accommodation

Supported accommodation placements could be in:

  • hostels
  • shared housing
  • specialist schemes designed for young people and individuals with complex needs

How to be referred to us for supported accommodation

If you think you or someone you know would benefit from placement in supported accommodation, they will need to be referred to us by someone that can check their eligibility.
