Buckinghamshire Joint Local Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2035
Introduction
This strategy sets out what the Health and Wellbeing Board will do to improve the health and wellbeing of Buckinghamshire residents and reduce health inequalities across Buckinghamshire. The strategy aims to build on the success of the 2022 to 25 Happier Healthier Lives strategy, which saw a reduction in women smoking at the time of giving birth, an increase in people who experience inequalities having health checks and more people over 65 accessing talking therapies.
Our vision is to continue to go further to improve the health and wellbeing by working across health, social care, voluntary and community organisations and with our communities to help people live healthier and more independent lives.
The strategy will focus on improvements across all ages and all aspects of health and wellbeing including physical, mental, and social and the wider determinants that drive our health and wellbeing, it will be delivered through the Start Well, Live Well and Age Well themes. By focusing on empowering communities, prevention and proactive care, this strategy aims to:
- reduce health inequalities
- improve population health
- ensure the sustainability of services
