The Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS)
The production of Local Nature Recovery Strategies (LNRS) across England are an important measure in the Environment Act 2021.
These plans are now bringing about more coordinated, practical, focussed action and investment to help nature and people flourish together, whilst delivering wider nature-based environmental benefit.
The Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) for Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes – a collaboratively developed vision for restoring and enhancing nature across our area, has now been published.
The strategy has taken 2 years to develop following engagement with a range of partners and stakeholders, including:
- environmental organisations
- species experts
- local businesses
- developers
- farmers and landowners
- community groups
- members of the public
