Our Biodiversity Duty

As a local authority we are required by the Environment Act 2021 to publish a biodiversity report, setting out what we have done to meet our biodiversity duty. This report covers the period from 1 Jan 2023 up until 1 Jan 2026.​

​This biodiversity report documents our relevant policies and actions we’ve carried out to comply with our biodiversity duty. The report communicates what we are doing as an organisation to improve biodiversity and is also intended to help local authorities to share best practice.
