Pride and ownership of place

We're identifying areas that need improvement and issues that need addressing.

We'll promote events (for example community activity days and community litter-picks and clean-ups). This will help to:

  • improve the community connectedness
  • develop a sense of community ownership

Improvements to public spaces

We'll improve areas in Desborough, including areas that need:

  • cleaning
  • fly-tipping to be cleared
  • graffiti to be removed
  • additional security

We're tracking progress and tasks in an action plan.

Anti-social behaviour

We're working with other services to reduce illegal parking and nuisance vehicles in the area.

We're supporting projects that address knife crime and give support to some of our most vulnerable residents.

Safe and suitable spaces for children, young people and their families

We'll be working with existing providers in the town to develop effective ways of promoting activities.

We're reviewing existing green spaces to make them more accessible for children and young families.

We're supporting initiatives that provide activities for young people including:

  • mentoring
  • youth clubs
  • anti-knife crime projects
