Terriers and Amersham Hill ward action plan

Terriers and Amersham Hill ward partnership have developed an action plan to address local issues and improve opportunities for all.

This is part of the Opportunity Bucks programme which aims to help residents access the opportunities on offer in Buckinghamshire.

Amersham Hill

The ward partnership would like to hear your ideas on how to improve:

  • education and youth engagement
  • jobs, careers and skills
  • quality of the public realm
  • standard of living
  • health and wellbeing

We want to hear from the community about your ideas to improve this area.

Local priorities

The ward partnership brings together local people, community groups, organisations, and councillors to take action on what’s important to their area.

We have identified priorities that we are working to address over the coming months:

  • use of existing green spaces
  • lack of meeting spaces
  • get together events

Current projects

Totteridge Recreation ground: A new Mindfulness trail around Totteridge recreation is now live, developed in collaboration with Public Health Love Exploring App encouraging communities to explore their parks and green spaces. Early discussions exploring ways in which the current facilities can be improved.

St Francis Community Hall: Supporting the churches ambitions to transform this hall into a community hub that can be used by local groups and a meet up space for residents.
Pilgrim Café is now open two days a week in the church hall (Tuesday and Thursday) offering food and snacks for sale. People using the church hall can now stay for longer without needing to go out to eat.

Supporting Terriers community garden after successful funding applications to High Wycombe Community Board and Opportunity Bucks Programme Board to develop a woodland trail. Upon completion, the project will increase the use of this existing space so people can come together increasing physical activity and access to fresh foods which supports food security and community cohesion.
